Multi-use Trail

Ucluelet and Tofino, B.C.

This 25-kilometre accessible trail runs through the Long Beach Unit of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, within the traditional territories of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation and Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ. Coast Geotechnical designed temporary excavations for challenging sections, advised on construction sequencing, and provided field reviews during construction. Project partners included Parks Canada, IWC Excavation, and WSP.

Happy Valley Commercial

Langford, B.C.

This commercial development site in the floodplain of Bilston Creek presented challenging ground conditions, including a shallow water table, liquefiable sands, and the need for flood storage. Coast Geotechnical designed ground improvement solutions, coordinated with Menard Canada on stone column installations, and addressed groundwater challenges to enable construction of utilities and retaining walls. Project partners included Khataw Development and Menard Canada.
